No. 7 Stanford Tops Washington, 73-53

Stanford needs a win Sunday at lowly Washington State to wrap up at least a share of its eighth straight Pac-10 title, no matter what No. 9 California does at Washington. A win against the Cougars would also give Stanford the top seed in the Pac-10 tournament.

Wiggins has 2,400 career points, pulling within 14 of Lisa Leslie's conference record of 2,414. Wiggins overcame a sluggish start to make nine of 18 shots and grabbed 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Her final points came when she stopped a Washington fastbreak with a steal and sprinted the length of the court for a left-handed layup with five minutes left.

Jayne Appel scored 12 and Kayla Pedersen added 11 as the Cardinal (26-3, 15-2) won their 14th straight.

Andrea Plouffe led Washington (12-17, 7-10) with 11 points, but the Huskies shot just 28 percent and scored only 17 second-half points.

Creflo Dollar resigned from the regents, and Benny Hinn is now a "regent emeritus" with no voting power.

The evangelist Creflo Dollar has resigned from the Oral Roberts University board of regents, and another evangelist, Benny Hinn, has lost his status as a voting mem ber of the board.

ORU's spokesman Jeremy Burton confirmed Wednesday that Dollar had resigned and that Hinn had been named a "regent emeritus" without a vote on the board.

Both refused last week to respond to a Senate inquiry into lavish spending by evangelists.

A Canadian businessman, Richard Pearson, has been named to ORU's board of business regents.

Yung Texxus: Hold The Flag High

No other genre of music is as fixated on an artist's home as Hip-Hop. Whether it's the North, South, East or West, it's up to a rap artist to represent where they're from and show the world how it goes down in their region. Killeen, Texas emcee, Yung Texxus, clearly understands this notion. And after growing up in Texas and moving to Delaware at 17, he carries the weight of two cities, two groups and two different styles of rap music on his shoulders.

On coast, he's Yung Texxus, a member of the the Killeen rap group, Green City, who's being ushered in by the legendary emcee, Scarface. On another coast, he's Yung Texxus, the CEO of his own Delaware record label, State City Music, and member of the group Stack Cap Gang. Not to mention a burgeoning solo career, with his singles like "Trill Thangz" and "Buss It Open" featuring Yung Joc bubbling and Desert Storm's DJ Clue in his corner.

The meeting of like moms

Women also are going online to find moms who match their personality and interests, much like singles use an online dating service."You scope 'em out," says Magalie Belanger, 31, about prospective mommy-friends in Helena, Mont. "You see how they deal with their children, and with yours."It's like dating, but the dates are with other moms and their children. While the kids play, hopefully without tantrums or biting, the moms are free to talk about the things they have in common, from the lofty subjects of religion and politics to the more practical topics of teething and diaper rash."Women, they want someone else who is going through the same thing," says Drury Sherrod, a Los Angeles social psychologist who studies friendship.Often, that can mean seeking out other women in the same trimester of pregnancy or whose children are similar in age, he says.Kate Harmon, 41, of Concord, Mass., recalls how 10 years ago she fell into the perfect support group while her husband was a graduate student in Boston.

Selling your house without an agent

They argue that only they know true local home values and real-estate laws and that they will "screen" potential buyers for you protecting both your time and your safety.

Some owners think otherwise. Selling on your own while potentially a hassle could save you roughly five per cent in broker fees. This varies, of course. For hard-to-sell properties, the savings could be as high as seven per cent, but in highly competitive markets (where brokers are cutting their commissions), the savings may be lower.

Thinking about taking the plunge yourself? Heres what you need to know if youre going to act as your own broker.

Finding a Buyer

The most important step is pricing your house properly. Charge too little and youll always wonder if you lost money on the deal.

Thieves make off with online personalities

These identity thieves don't want your money. They want your quirky sense of humor and your cool taste in music.

Among the 125 million people in the U.S. who visit online dating and social-networking sites are a growing number of dullards who steal personal profiles, life philosophies, even signature poems. "Dude u like copied my whole myspace," posts one aggrieved victim.

Copycats use the real-life wit of others to create cut-and-paste personas, hoping to land dates or just look clever.

Lohan Loses Her Leggings — Maybe For Some Scrubs

Finally! A leggingless Lohan. LL returned to the red carpet last week in a hot LBD but this is the first time in a while we have seen her casually dressed without those hideous leggings or tights she has been living in. It's too bad that the one time she ventures away from the security of having her legs covered that she doesn't have any friends to tell her that her ass is hanging out. So sad and yet so typical. Lindsay spent the weekend shopping, lunching and meeting with friends. Her fun routine is about to be interrupted with a trip to the morgue and watching what goes down in an ER as part of her requirements set in her DUI plea agreement. Maybe she was out looking for the appropriate outfit for the occasion.

Lots more of Lindsay out and about in LA showing off her legs among other things so read more.

Alycia Lane goes free

NEW YORK - Former CBS3 anchor Alycia Lane moved a step toward vindication in a five-minute hearing this morning in criminal court here.

Lane, 35, no longer faces a felony assault charge, filed Dec. 16 after a middle-of-the-night encounter with police on a Manhattan street.

Lane, out of work since Jan. 1, now faces less serious counts of obstruction of governmental administration and harassment. Both will be dismissed in six months if Lane stays out of trouble, Judge Dina Douglas said. Lane will carry neither a guilty plea nor a conviction on her record.

Prosecutor Mike Greenman said the felony charge was dropped because the scratches to the plainclothes police officer were not serious enough to support the charge.

Lane also agreed to one day's community service, which she has already performed.
