| Vumber Launches Virtual Phone Number Service on Paltalk.com
NEW YORK, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Vumber (www.vumber.com), the secure, two-way disposable calling service, today announced a new partnership with Paltalk (www.paltalk.com), the leading real-time, video-based community with over 4 million active members, to provide privacy-ensured virtual phone numbers to its user base. "Online dating and chat groups continue to be a fast growing trend, yet some participants are reluctant to share their personal phone numbers online," said Vumber Co-Founder Cliff Wener. "With Vumber, Paltalk members will have more privacy, control and freedom when providing phone numbers to one another." According to a study by Pew Internet and American Life Project, 11% of all American Internet-using adults - about 16 million people - say they have gone to an online dating website or other site where they can meet people online.
French tuning in to Sarkozy's soap opera life
When I watch him talk, I often say to myself that he doesn't have a stable psychology. And I often wonder, what on Earth is he doing?" Sarkozy won the election with some very sober promises. He would revitalize a stodgy presidency and reinvigorate a morose country. People's hard work would be rewarded with higher pay. He would run a can-do administration, open and modern, that would restore French pride. Sarkozy's approval ratings have plummeted to about 39 percent, with polls suggesting that his party could take a shellacking in municipal elections next month. Pollsters attribute the collapse to two main factors: no improvement in economic conditions and overexposure to his personal life, elements of which strike some people as nouveau riche and vulgar. The popular TV news parody "Les Guignols de l'Info," a nightly puppet show, sometimes mocks Sarkozy's affinity for Rolex watches by giving him an armful.

The only reason Eddie and Dave smile together is that they are doing the math in their heads of how much coin they are making each night. Way too much overindulgence for a drum and guitar solo. Hopefully the Duluth show they will redeem themselves. Somebody get me a doctor… .
Hollywood strike 'stupid' - ex Disney CEO
Hollywood writers who walked off the job this week are wasting their time in a "stupid" strike, former Walt Disney Co Chief Executive Michael Eisner said. View video "I've seen stupid strikes, I've seen less stupid strikes ... This is a stupid strike," Eisner said during a panel discussion at the Media and Money conference sponsored by Dow Jones & Co and Nielsen. "It's a waste of their time," Eisner said. " have nothing to give. They don't know what to give." Studios have dismissed writers' demand on payments related to new digital technologies, such as movies shown on the internet and cell phones, arguing that they first need to see how the new areas evolve. Some 12,000 writers went on strike on Monday after their contract expired last week and talks collapsed over the weekend.
Wendy hit by leak
Labour has made our priorities for the budget clear. We will speak to anyone at any time who wants to find a way of introducing social justice to the budget." A Labour spokeswoman said: "We don't comment on leaks, but it is true to say that the mood at the shadow cabinet was upbeat. All the shadow cabinet are united behind Wendy's leadership and they were pleased that the media had finally started to reflect that." .
I’m told Tony Blair and Gordon Brown have discussed the possibility ...
You might question whether Gordon Brown would really welcome Tony Blair as a prince across the water, but the impression I get is that, if Mr Blair wants it, they would have to support him,. No hurry Mr Blair feels that while it's flattering to be considered, there is no hurry: indeed it's too early in the process to make a decision. He wants to wait and see how the job is fleshed out as meat is put on the bones of the Lisbon Treaty. The trouble is that nothing of importance will be decided until after the Irish referendum, on a date yet to be announced, for fear of frightening the voters with potentially controversial decisions. How much urgency is there? Nicolas Sarkozy would like all this settled at the beginning of the French presidency, in July.
Home and Away's Indiana Evans growing up fast
Although she's only 17 there's always speculation about who Evans is dating and, when it's rumoured to be someone from the Channel 7 soap opera, it's sure to make the internet. But Evans says it didn't take long to figure out how to deal with the speculation surrounding her love life. "It's really odd, it's bizarre when people you haven't met say things about you, but I don't go looking for it," she says. "Being on Home and Away I have grown up a lot quicker than I would have if I wasn't on the show. But, then again, I don't have a life to compare it to because when I was starting out I was so much younger." Evans' character Matilda Hunter also had some big issues to deal with last year when she broke up with on-screen boyfriend Ric Dalby, played by Mark Furze, after he had an affair with a married woman.
Do Real Men Own Cats?
The feline species just doesn't seem manly enough... We won't deny that pets really are great to have around. They're said to improve your quality of life, bring families closer together and help lower stress levels and risk of heart disease. However, some pets are clearly more (or less) manly than others, mainly cats. There's no two ways about it: Cats are just plain girlie. There's a reason dogs are referred to as "man's best friend;" if you didn't get the hint then, perhaps there's just no hope for you. And don't think that Miniature Schnauzers and Labradoodles count as "dogs" either. If you're a single guy and you want a pet, a dog should be No. 1 on your list, followed closely by exotic lizard and/or tarantula -- that is, if you're man enough to handle it. Cats are something you should only acquire once your girlfriend has moved in and brought the little hairball along.

Amy Winehouse Stumbles Through EMA Performance; Plus Justin Timberlake ...
Amy Winehouse stumbled through her performance at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Thursday (November 1) shortly after giving a very brief acceptance speech when she won the Artists' Choice honor. The singer — who was announced as a last-minute addition to the show when she canceled her planned performance at the mtvU Woodie Awards on November 8 — gave a brief "thanks" when she accepted the award, and later appeared to have difficulty remembering the words to her own song and danced unsteadily as she performed. And while this year's MTV Video Music Awards belonged to Justin Timberlake (and Rihanna), JT wasn't able to replicate his success abroad at the EMAs. While he was the most nominated artist, he left with no awards — and maybe even more stunningly, he was outdone by Avril Lavigne, who nabbed Most Addictive Track ("Girlfriend") and Solo Artist of 2007.
Egypt’s modern history told through Awraq Mas
Characters are either extremely wealthy or dying from poverty. They are corrupt businessmen from big families with lots of sons and daughters who face the usual emotional problems and psychological diseases; or they are intrepid journalists and revolutionary leaders who fight injustice. It is perfectly normal to notice one actor or actress playing three similar roles in three different series all of which are showing at the same time. (Last Ramadan Dr. Ezzat Abou-Ouf and Boshra both appeared in three series each.) It is thus not uncommon for a star or even a supporting actor to move between three sets and shoot for 24 hours in front of the rolling camera every day. Due to their busy and crazy schedules, performers are usually worn out and extremely stressed. That doesnt mean, however, they cant manage to make time for (an often paid for) guest appearance on TV programs.
